Can any one tell me a bit about fox glacier and franz joseph? I was there 12 years ago but the memory is fading.
This trip I will have 2 on board who cant do a lot of walking. My question is - will they still be able to see the glaciers from the roadside or will we need to take a helicopter flight over for them to see it.
We are debating whether or not to go up that part of the coast or spend the time up the middle and see mt cook.

Thanks in advance for your info.
Ryan

Hi Ryan,

Don't know about walking to the glaciers, but I can tell you, the helicopter flight is F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C!!!!!!!!!!!!! We tossed up saying it was a lot of money etc. Wow!! Such a magnificent country, with clean air, and views that go on forever. They have hills in Victoria, they have mountains in N.Z.!!!! (long story) We loved the place, and we went in July (twice) and had great weather!!

Cheers,
Trapete
